Plan Your Year

Posted by Kelly Chen in Business

The first month of 2016 may be almost over, but it’s not too late to plan for your business for the year ahead.

It’s important to have an idea of where you’d like your business to be going for the year to keep you on track and continuing your growth.

Feeling stuck? Here are some ideas to consider:

Rewrite your business plan.
Updating your business plan should be an annual task, but it does not have to be complicated – keep it short and concise. (This is a great resource on how to write business plans.)

Set goals and milestones and share them with your team.
What are some goals you’d like to reach this year – new clients/customers, a certain number of sales, or maybe growing your team? Where would you like your business to be at the end of each quarter of the year? Remember to set your goals high, but reasonable. And most importantly, make sure your entire team is on the same page.

Consider promotions around key holidays.
This is certainly something every business should do, but promotions do take time to plan, so be sure to draw up some timelines. If promotions and/or discounts are not relevant to your business, consider sending out a greeting or gift to clients as a ‘thank you’ for their continued support. Need help with your promotions? All the best for a prosperous year!
