A Summer at the Foundry

by | 2015-08-27 | Around the Foundry

aaronWhen I was offered an internship at Chestnut St. Pixel Foundry, I had just finished my first year in Interactive Arts and Technologies at Simon Fraser University and was looking for work during the summer semester. I was amazed and very thankful to find an opportunity to gain experience in the field of graphic design.

I admired the business’ Victorian-style aesthetic, and it’s cozy office with pop-culture figurines lining the desks. Given that my employers were design students themselves, I knew from my first day that Pixel Foundry would be a perfect match.

My work began simply running errands for Kelly and Megan, and as time went on, I was tasked with updating the Foundry’s social-media outlets.

Kelly and Megan were very pleasant to work with, and I’m deeply grateful for this experience. I would absolutely do it again, given the chance.
